Just a little about me...

I am an educator, software trainer, and Web site designer. In 1988, I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Iowa State University.  From there I headed south to Texas and taught in the public school system for nine years. While in the public school system, I saw a real need to educate not only children, but also adults on how to use the computer.  I decided to embark on a career in corporate training.

For the next five years, I taught thousands of executives and employees how to use Microsoft Office and other software products. After my husband and I decided it was time to start a family, I felt the desire to share my knowledge via the Internet, which enabled me to reach thousands more than I could ever reach in my current position. 

I took a contracting position and became a Guide with one of the largest information-based Web sites on the 'Net. My position allowed me to instruct and advise people on business software via the Web site, newsletters and discussion forums. The praise I received from site visitors and newsletter subscribers inspired me to write for my own site and publish a set of my most popular Word tutorials.

I currently work from home as a Virtual Assistant for individuals and businesses all over the United States and as a Software Trainer in my local communities.
